- <<->>|/=======================\|<<->>

-
- INTRODUCTION
- ------------
-
- I'm not sure whether your an experienced mIRC user or if your
- some newbie-lamer!? But Either way I am going to explain parts of the
- script to you as if you were a 5-year old. The layout of this help file
- basically explains how to use certain parts of the script and with most
- efficiency.
-
- FLOOD PROTECTION
- ----------------
-
- *Definition of flood*: user sends to much info to the server, so the
- server disconnects them.
-
- It is almost rediculous how confident I am in my flood protection!
- Mr Script Covers the 3 main types of flooding: TEXT, DCC, and CTCP.
- CTCP is to me the most deadly of the floods, such as ping, version, etc..
- First Off, if you see some guy flooding you with text, either in
- a channel, message, or DCC chat... do not be alarmed! Any fool who would
- even attempt to try & flood you with text, is either a dumb-lamer or a
- newbie! ===> TEXT FLOODS DON'T DO SHIT -=- (Remember That!!!) So when
- you see this lamer... just activate the emergency text flood protection
- in your popops menu (located in all popups, but nickname popups) and this
- lamer will be ignored for the next 30 sec.
- Next, CTCP flood protection is anything with this command:
- /ctcp (nickname) (Type)
- A ctcp can be of any type, that is why it makes it a little harder to
- protect yourself from. But No Fear! Mr Script is here... most ppl will
- try to flood you with the reg. stuff like: ping, version, clientinfo,
- userinfo, finger, time. So if someone starts flooding you with some of
- these... dont even bother switching to emergency, because it will the
- ignore the guy if he does more the 2 CTCPs of the same type within a 15
- seconds. The Only time when you might want to activate emergency flood
- protection is if someone is flooding you with numerous clones... in this
- case it *IS* possible to be flooded on normal pro.
- Atlast, DCC flooding is one of the more abnormal flooding. It is
- harder to flood with DCC then CTCP but easier then TEXT flooding. If you
- get DCC'd more then a few times in 15 sec... it will ignore the nick.
- There are 4 types of DCC flooding: DCC Chat, DCC resume, DCC
